Overview
WES Canada is listed by IRCC as a designated organization for ECAs (as World Education Services). WES's Canada site says it is trusted by immigration authorities such as IRCC.
Process
WES publishes three steps.
- Submit your application.
- Submit your documents.
- WES verifies your credentials, creates your report, and delivers it to your recipients.
Documents and payment
Documents must follow the requirements for your country or territory of education, and must be received and accepted by WES before an evaluation can be completed.
A document enters the processing queue only after a courier confirms delivery to WES. WES may verify documents with the issuing institution; the evaluation is then on hold until the institution responds.
Payment must be received before an evaluation can be completed. Accepted methods: credit or debit card and Convera (formerly Western Union).
Results and validity
Once complete, the report can be viewed in your WES account. Delivery tracking is available only with a trackable shipping option.
WES states the ECA is valid for five years from the date of issue. Include your WES reference number on all correspondence.
What to check on the official page
Fee amounts and current processing times are on separate WES pages (Evaluations and Fees; Required Documents; processing times). Check them before applying.
What changes often
